Galos Piano Trio
“A unique group bonded through friendship and music making”
The Galos Piano Trio is renowned for its engaging performances and focus on lesser known works by female composers. Pianist, James Longford and violinist, Felicity Broome-Skelton complete this trio with Heidi and together they have enjoyed over ten years of wonderful music making.
Their performance schedule has taken them around the world, from Russia to West Africa, the Caribbean to the Arctic Circle and throughout the UK and Europe. They have featured on BBC Radio 3’s ‘In Tune’ and performed at venues including St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Conway Hall and St. David’s Cathedral. They have also performed at the London Piano Trio Festival and on many luxury cruise liners. In 2016 they developed a thrilling show in collaboration with soprano, Sarah Gabriel that studied the life and music of Dame Ethel Smyth. Shortly after this project they were appointed as ‘Ensemble in Residence’ by ‘Young Music Makers of Dyfed’ for their 2017-18 season.
Between them they have worked with The Royal Northern Sinfonia, Royal Opera House and Royal Ballet, English National Opera, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, The Heritage Orchestra, BBC Singers, Aix-en-Provence Festival, Israel Festival, London Early Opera and The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.
